Sherborne School and Sherborne Prep merged on 1 April 2021, following a unanimous decision by the Governors of both Schools. The two neighbouring Schools already enjoy established and wide-ranging links, with many Prep pupils choosing to continue their education at Sherborne School.
On 1 July 2024, the two charitable trusts that own Sherborne School and Sherborne Girls (and their associated schools) formally merged into one charity called the Sherborne Schools Group, a unique and exciting educational offering in the UK for girls and boys aged 3 to 19.
The merged Group includes Sherborne Schools Worldwide, a joint venture set up by Sherborne School and Sherborne Girls in 2017 to establish Sherborne-branded schools around the world.
