Graham Keene joined us this morning to talk to pupils and staff about his ascent of Everest in May 2022.

At 68-years-old, and grandfather to children here at the Prep, Graham became the oldest British climber to scale Everest. He trained for his expedition by hiking in the hills of Devon and spent much of the pandemic training with a personal trainer.

The children were fascinated to know that he beat the previous record held by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who was 65 when he reached the world’s highest peak in 2009!

It was wonderful to see Anton K wearing what he wore on his expedition!
