Year 1 and 2 have been learning about the Ancient Egyptians in History.
As a fun introduction to the topic, the tables in the classroom were converted into tunnels with the help of a large number of blankets. The tunnels were full of hidden images of Ancient Egyptian artefacts and the children ventured in, torch in hand, to discover what lay inside.
They pieced together what they saw and realised all the images related to the Ancient Egyptians which led to a wonderful discussion on what they already knew, and what they would like to learn.
As you can probably imagine, lots of shrieks of excitement could be heard throughout!
