Year 3 had great fun in their Science lesson learning about igneous rock.
They learnt about the two types of rock that form from the magma and lava of a volcano and even created their own volcanic eruptions.
Definition of igneous
1a : formed by solidification of magma igneous rock. b : relating to, resulting from, or suggestive of the intrusion or extrusion of magma or volcanic activity. 2 : of, relating to, or resembling fire : fiery.
There were some delighted children – I am sure you can tell from their faces!
