Having studied Theology at the University of Wales and then attaining a PGCE from Hughes Hall Cambridge, Elaine taught Religious Education in a state secondary school before taking a break to raise a family. Elaine returned to teaching in the primary sector, initially teaching French before deciding to specialise in learning support.
Elaine has completed the PG Cert National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination with Plymouth University and worked as a SEN Coordinator in a local primary school for a number of years. In her spare time, Elaine enjoys gardening, attempting to manage her allotment and occasionally dusting off her flute.
