Coming 10th out of 35 in the 60cm SJ class of the NSEA Grassroots Regional (South West) Championships, and beating some of the best riders from Millfield, Sandroyd, Leweston, Clayesmore, Clifton College, Wellington, Taunton and Hanford, was our very own year 6 pupil, Beatrix.
They would have come 2nd or 3rd but over the 11th and penultimate fence, she didn’t get the angle she needed to take the planned short cut to the final fence, so although they were going like the wind and on for a top spot, the extra ground covered added a couple of seconds to her time and cost her a rosette. Otherwise it was was a super round!!
