For the next few weeks we'll be sharing a short video of a different member of staff to showcase the depth and diversity of their backgrounds, interesting facts and favourite moments. Plus, what led them to teach at the Prep!
Fernando Velázquez, Head of Art.
Fernando took his PGCE at Buckingham University having graduated from Kensington and Chelsea College, London in Fine Art Management & Professional Practice. Fernando also completed a Foundation course of History of Modern Art and a BTEC New Art Practice & Theory course at Chelsea College of Art & Design. Fernando studied Law at the University of Murcia and Seville until moving to England in 1996.
Since then, he has exhibited as a professional artist worldwide whilst developing his teaching. Having previously taught Spanish, as part of the Modern Languages department, Fernando is our Head of Art, as well as teaching Personal Development and being a Year 6 Form Tutor.
